Wildlife and Landscape Project, “Management Axis Development of Landscape in the Ecuadorian National System of Protected Areas to better the Conservation of Wildlife in Danger of Extinction World Wide”
The Wildlife and Landscape Project aims to adopt the landscape approach and apply it to the protected areas and areas of influence to better the habitat and connectivity necessities of wildlife.
The Project will strengthen the institutional capacities and the local governments related with the protected areas to integrate a landscape approach in the conservation of wildlife within its management and planning procedures. It consists of 5 selected landscapes, which include mosaics of protected and productive landscapes where global priority species are threatened and require broad management solutions. The Project will be implemented with the active participation of local figures.
