Happy Birthday Cofán Bermejo Ecological Reserve

This protected area is located in the northern part of the Amazon region. The reserve protects areas with a rugged and inaccessible topography, which is why they are unknown to most Ecuadorians. Even the mention of the names of its rivers and hills is unfamiliar: Alto Bermejo, Sur Pax hill or Cuembí river. The northern limit of the reserve, the San Miguel River, is at the same time the boundary border with the neighboring country of the north.
