WE ALL ARE RANGERS

Since 2007 every July 31 the world recognizes the work of caregivers and preserves the biodiversity of our protected areas, the rangers.

This year the Ministry of Environment of Ecuador co working with them, organized an event that makes visible their contribution to public awareness to meet the objectives of conservation and care of the natural heritage of all human beings.

During the meeting, the actions of this staff to the proper management of protected areas in planning, tourism, control and surveillance, management of biodiversity and environmental education, will be displayed.

Currently, 733 people work for the Heritage of Natural Areas of the State, among which 609 are rangers who work in the 51 protected areas of Ecuador. Of these, 23 have more than 30 years of service for these mega biodiverse areas.
